Hi,

I've just set up two seperate forums for two different football club's I am involved with and one of the chaps has contacted me saying he has not got the 'activation e-mail' so he can't log on to the forum. I then registered as a different user and got my activation e-mail immediately. Also when I registered with this forum I didn't get an activation e-mail but I can log on anyway and enter comments.

The forum were that my colleague hasn't received and activation e-mail from is at:

I just signed up to test.  No trouble registered first time.

Thanks that's great it's got to be the user then. At least it's not something daft I set up in the admin panel!  

Is there anyway anyone can check this out for me? He has just contacted me and swears he is recieving no activation e-mails and cannot log in. He has registered twice and believes it is not his works PC or e-mail filters as he is a member of several forums that employ the same system and his no troubles with any of them.

Who is his email account with, as some wont allow emails from forums as they class them as spam.

hi, I'm not sure if I should start a new thread or just ask for help in this one as I am having the exact same problems with all my new members for the past 2 weeks.
They do not get an activation email, I too also went to check and signed in as a member with another email address and I too did not recieve the activation email? Hmmm what is going on? I am the admin/owner of the site:

What else could it be, so I could let them know? They are using 'hotmail' email addresses, could this be the problem? Would you have any advice that I can pass on to them?

Hotmail along with AOL class activattion emails as spam. Ask your friends to check the junk mail. I know the other two forums I just left, I was a Global Moderator for both, and we use to put a note in the news bar at top of forum, for newcomers to open up a free email with Yahoo.com or Mail.com, to  use for forums memberships.   http://forums.photobucket.com/showthread.php?t=1702

It is now fixed.

i also have the same problems!!!!

not good because it keeps a lot of people away from my forum!!

i am having te same problems again        

I went to Icelord's site; i put some jokes on there(thats all he\shes got).

i get email after email from people who didnt get an activation email!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am losing so many members..
a few of them tried to register over 5 times and it still didnt work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

help and fix it!!!! please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
