several of my members have complained that the icons dont change to alert them that there are new posts in a section even with alot of refreshing of the page. Is there a way to fix this?

You can upload new pictures in the admin panel that show up more. the new post pic hardly looks different than the normal one. i just got a two gif files; one flashes when there are new posts.
