i have only had 2. the firt one was moved down a spot after the next post in that forum, so i made it into an announcement. the second one, though, superceded the announcement and, so far, is remaining as the upper most post in that forum. is there a specified time it will stay up there? number of responses? anyone know?

no, kimmy, that is not what i mean. i had a very popular poll two weeks ago, but someone started a new thread in that forum and the poll moved down a spot. i edited it to make an ANNOUNCEMENT out of it to keep it stuck to the top of the page.

now, i have a VERY UNPOPULAR poll, new threads are being created, yet this poll i created is stuck to the top of the page and it is NOT an announcement.

i canceled my first poll from being an ANNOUNCEMENT and it moved down the page along with every other post thaht doesnt get responded to. but, how am i going to move the new poll out of the top spot? make it into an announcement, and then remove it, like i did that last poll?

it doesnt make any sense to me. it tells us in the help section that moderators can make announcements or stick topics to the top of the page, but there are no sticky options from what i can see at aceboard, and no indication as to where polls will remain and for how long.

well... i don't know what happened with that first poll, but i just went to edit my second poll, and i noticed that the block for ANNOUNCEMENT is automatically checked. so, it will obviously remain at the top of the page until i un-check it. for whatever reason, the first poll slid down the page until i identified it as an ANNOUNCEMENT. this poll doesn't say announcement on the page where it is posted, but is checked when i went to edit it. hey, anyway... thank you so much for responding, kimmy. time to put this issue to bed.

don't allow new forums by editing it or delete the threads
