One of my members just joined the forum and they can't log in. They sent me the email they were automatically sent by the forum showing their user name and password, and asked if I would try and log in for them, so I tried it and I couldn't log in either and I'm the admin. There is something terribly wrong here. Any suggestions?

all I can say is ask them to apply again and see if it works.. otherwise you will have to wait and see what oliver says, cause I have no clue.. never had that problem.

OK I figured it out. Apparently they were trying to create another account on the same computer and were using a different password for that user name. It seems that only 'one' password is allowed per computer.

Thanks for the reply, Tyler

I would advise them to clean their cookies and cache and try logging on again.

This tool does a good job and is free. Works for IE and Firefox.
