A new member on my Forum keeps getting this message when he tries to login.
He is registered - I checked.
Can someone please help?

Here is the message.

I'm having trouble trying to log in. A message keeps coming up for me to "click on the activation code in my email address." Try as I may I cannot locate this code everytime I try to log in.
Would appreciate your assistance.

how do you have it set for new members? do you accept them yourself? or do they have to receive an email? it might be easier to have it set the admin manually accepts all new registrations... spam blockers, cookie settings can all come into effect when a user has to receive an email...

change your settings to manually accept new registrations and ask them to reapply, accept them and delete their other name

Some of my members have had this problem too. It boils down to the e-mail they are sent when they register. All they need to do is click on the validation e-mail address they are sent which takes them to a log in page, and then they log in with the username and password that they registered with. The registration page tells people that they will be sent an e-mail with a password in it if its set to automatic e-mail registration, but they aren't sent one, they just need to click on the e-mail link that is sent.

Personally I think the problem lies with the French translation of the registration process, its mis-leading.
