Over the course of 2007, I've had a member on my forum who used to be a top knotch respectable member deterierate into a lowly troller, only on the forum for the sake of spamming into topics as much as possible. He left for a while and frequently comes back in order to cause more chaos. We've (The administration and moderation) banned and deleted countless accounts of his that have been seen through Multinicks, but we don't know if there is a way of IP banning. I don't think there is, but we NEED something.

Is there a way of performing such a task?

(By the way, it isn't like our forum is a new kind of one. It is about 1 Year and 3 months old.)

Also, after all of these problems with him began just recently, topics (and probably a whole page by now) in General Chat have just vanished, and aren't in the Trash Bin. And help there?

Next time try banning him but 'don't' delete his account. Just manually remove his posts. That way your aceboard will remember him and won't let him back on because he will be banned.

Sounds like he removed the posts himself if they "vanished".

But the topics include many that he hasn't even posted in. They're just gone.

And members can still create accounts even after they are banned. It has happened many times before, so I don't know if banning him and just deleting his posts will help.

The topics disappearing is not a new issue.. I was under the impression that it was being taken care of but apparently it has not, sorry.

As for your member, there is no possible way to ban the ip address... You must be vigilant when a new member applies and check the multinick. (which you already know) I know its a pain in the butt. You are right, even banned members can create an account again, but it is up to you to accept or deny.

Sorry you are having this issue... I wish there was more I could do.

Alright then. Thanks for at least informing me about what can/can't happen. I hope if Aceboard gets updated/improved that this is an added feature to it.
