Hi

These boards have been painfully slow to load for some time, and members of my Forum are starting to drift away.  Is this problem ever going to be fixed?

wish I could let you know. .I haven't been able to contact the admin of aceboard for some time.. well I have contacted him, just haven't gotten any replies... I have the same problem with my members drifting away

Hey! I have an idea, its a swell idea, what if we all chip-in and help buy Aceboards a new server!??!

This slow server can't be good for business and perhaps they should consider my earlier comments about implementing "Paid Memberships" for those who would like a premium membership that would include having the ads removed from your forum. The money made from the paid memberships could supplement the money from the removed ads, and the paid memberships would also make a profit for Aceboards so they can buy a spanking brand new server! A faster server!

no offense to aceboard, but If I'm going to pay for a board, I'm gonna get one that I can add mods to.. like arcade, and stores, and lotteries, and subcategories lol...

   I use dial-up and I'm used to everything being slow, all over the web. But, it seems that lately aceboard has been extra slow. It's funny but the only forum that loads quickly is this support forum. My message board loads extra slow, especially during the day, but this could also be because I have a lot of custom colors and pictures on my forum. I've been doing a lot of browsing across many of aceboard's forums using the aceboard.net directory and I've noticed a lot of dead message boards that are either not being used anymore or that have not been posted on in quite some time. Would aceboards server go faster if these dead boards were deleted?

this support forum goes faster than yours because there are several servers : 1 is slow, another is not so 1 forum located on a slow server will be slow whereas another located on the fast server will not be slow.
when a server crashes, the remaining servers do all the job.

Well, unless you know something I don't - I would be very surprised if they weren't considering some kind of change unless they are planing on closing shop. They obviously are having technical issues and money appears to be the reason for the slow server considering its been this way for months now. Yes, its worst now than its been in the past, but I think you'll agree its never been good, and certainly not as good as it could be.  

Lets all hope they stay in business and consider getting a new server, cause this won't cut-it the way it is now - not for long anyway.

Ah, thats too bad Frazefast cause I think its fixed now. At least thats the way it seems right now. Perhaps its a new server why its so fast, you think so?

Have fun with that Frazefast, I love aceboard's layout and if you ask me even if another free message board service's server was faster I still would not make the change. Aceboard to me is a lot more visually appealing than the others and as long as aceboard exists, so will my forum (assuming I don't get booted or something.) Not to mention that a faster server would not benefit me at all due to the fact that I have to dial everytime I want to get on the internet.

one extreme to another, my board went from barely functioning to being laser quick.

I dunno I kinda like the quirkyness of aceboards

i chose aceboard because i wanted my forum to be different from other forums.  I definately would pay for an upgrade with a faster server and new features which i think those of us who have remained loyal to aceboard deserve and its sad to hear they wont be doing anything soon. Still, I will remain here for now cuz i just adore kimmy and oliver is a nice guy.

I don't know Oliver well but he does seem to be a nice guy and Kimmey has been very helpful any time I have ask. That being sadi, I don't think my board or I can exist under the current situation. I don't even want to be on my own forum because it takes every page a full minute or two to load. My forum is dying before my eyes.

I love AceBoard's layout and ease of operation. I love everything about it but I can not stand the speed issue. I too would be willing to pay a fee to get an upgrade in servers or whatever is needed.Thank you AceBoard for everything and I hope I can hang in here until things improve.

sadly i cant access mine either and earlier i had two messages from two different members saying they cant post.  I will admit this is an issue.  

I am receiving complaints about the slow board and have had a sharp decrease in activity.  I would gladly pay for a Pro Ace Board!!!!

Is there any official response to why this is happening?

My forum was deathly slow last few months, but yesterday it became up to speed. Hope it will last...

One would think there would be some kind of response.

It would be nice to be able to explain to those we have brought to our various sites what is happening and when we can expect it to be dealt with.
