Hi,

Im new to aceboard, and my husband and i noticed when we were posting that on our new forum that he had the option to edit my posts. Me being Admin, him being..?? well, im not sure, i would assume moderator? But im curious how i turn that off, so that other members on the forum dont have that same ability to edit or delete other members posts?

Thank you.

moderators can only edit peoples posts in the forums that you have them a moderator for.. so say you have your hubby was a moderator of "the general section" well, he can only edit things in that section.. normal members can only edit their own posts.

Yeah, I think I know what shes saying because any member can access anyones post by clicking the "edit" button of the post, but they won't be able to submit any changes successfully. That's one of the questions I was asked from a member of my forum when they noticed they could click anyones post and access it like they were going to edit the post, but I told them they couldn't submit it.

Quite frankly I don't like the idea of someone doing that and 'thinking' they could edit it if they wanted to, and I also don't like the fact they can see all the (if any) BBcoding  used, but thats the way it is so theres no point in complaining about it as it seems aceboards aren't interested in doing any kind of changes to their forums.
