Well folks, it looks like this is goodbye. I found a faster forum host and I'm the process of moving all my members to it now.

I would have stayed with Aceboards if they had plans of addressing these issues and perhaps replaced or fixrd the bad server - but they're not returning any emails by the moderators of their "Help" forum to answer some of these issues. And also considering that the general consensus is "they're not concerned about updating and doing any kind of maintenance to the forums", is more reason to leave. So with that, I moved to this new forum that is far better functionality wise, and is also packed full of features that surpasses Aceboards by a mile.

good luck.  I am also gone from aceboard as well for many of the same reasons. Kimmy and Oliver were my two remaining reasons for continuing to give aceboard a shot but i feel i have been more than patient and its time to move on to bigger and better things.  Such a shame to be treated with such disregard, not by kimmy and oliver of course because as ive stated they have been great but by the invisible administrators that feel its ok to start something and then not maintain it properly or at the very least make themselves approachable to the people who have put faith in them.  Shame shame.  Take care everyone.  

Count me among the departing. As Lisa said, Kimmy was outstanding, Oliver had left when I arrived. There may be good reasons for the admin not continueing in what he started but a small explanation would have gone a long ways. I refuse to wake up one morning and find there is no board and at this point I have no assurances that that won't happen.

It really is a shame. When I first joined aceboard there wasn't another board host that could compare. I've always loved the layout and functionality of aceboards, minus a few things like French words and such. The moderators have done a great job of keeping this thing going while they still could, but it seems that despite all of their hard work, aceboard just isn't going to make it. It amazes me that someone can make a free message board hosting service, and not check in on it at least once a month. Many people have put their faith into aceboard, having their buisness related forums hosted by aceboard, and a ton of other genres of message boards. It's too bad that it's all going down like this, even though I havn't spent much time on aceboard compared to a lot of you, I still feel like I'm going to miss you all, especially aceboard in general. Oliver, Kimmy, great work on running this place to the best of your abilities, it seems like you have done a wonderful job doing so, despite the administrators that you have to work with. I hope to see one day soon aceboard up and running again, with new and improved servers, and administrators that actually are willing to run the website that they created. Though it is a shame how this happened, I still feel obligated to thank aceboard and all it's staff for providing a free message board, it was great while it lasted. Good luck to you all, I wish all of you who are moving to a different host the best of luck, I hope I see you all around.

Sorry to see you go, runawayhorses, you were the only thread left here!  I cant stand this anymore!  Ill have to move on as well, because this is simply insane.  Im gonna go have a peek at your new place!
