what i want to do is make a slideshow of pics and put it to music..not on my forum tho.  I see these type of things on Youtube all the time.  I want to be able to have it on a dvd tho to give as xmas gifts to the older people in my family who dont use computers.  Does anyone know a way of doing this at minimal cost?  any help would be appreciated.

"windows movie maker" is free and does that.
if you are running Windows XP that should be included in the default programs.

yep what oliver said, or you can try http://www.onetruemedia.com/... it costs a bit, but i'm not sure how much.
